In the English Staged Reading Series, Cake and Conflict, we tackle difficult issues head-on. Focusing on English texts that talk about war, sexuality, difficult relationships, religion, discrimination and everything taboo. After the staged-reading, we discuss these lovely topics with a slice of cake and a pot of tea. Civility at it’s highest! So bring your opinions and add a dash of sugar. As our beloved Mary Poppins says, “A spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down”
